Sway Bars
Most SL-Cs don't have sway bars, but I’m installing cockpit-adjustable ones. The driver makes adjustments by moving a lever, one for the front and one for the rear, which rotates a "blade arm" 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal. The firmest setting is when the blade arm is vertical (i.e., on edge) and the softest setting is when the blade is horizontal (i.e., flat). I decided to replace the manual levers with linear actuators. The primary reason for this is that while the levers look cool in a race car, they don't fit with the super-car-like interior I'm trying to achieve. In addition, the levers have only five fixed positions whereas the actuators allow an infinite number of positions. Lastly, since the actuators I'm using have position feedback, I can add presets (e.g., Low Grip, Sport, Track, Race, Solo).
One end of each sway bar has a barrel with TBD bearing(s) held in place with a snap ring. A crank plate is attached to the back of the blade arm which is attached to the cable via a ball joint.

Stroke Min Max
Sensor 2.95" 8.58" 11.54"
Actuator 2.50” 10.37” 12.87”
Delta +0.45” -1.79” -1.33”
Mount 2.5” 10.595
Sensor has 0.45” more stroke so we want min length to be half that amount (0.225”) shorter to put position in the middle. Sensor is 1.79” shorter so we want to make bracket span 1.79 - 0.225 = 1.565 shorter. Split that in two to get the offset of .783.

Sensor 2.95" 8.58" 11.54"
Actuator 2.75” 10.62” 13.37”
Delta +0.20” -2.04” -1.16”
Mount 2.5” 10.595
The sensor has 0.20” more stroke than the actuator so we want min length to be half that amount (0.10”) shorter to position it in the middle of the range. Distance when contracted:
Sensor: 8.58” + 0.10” = 8.68”
Top Plate Offset: 10.62” - 8.68” - 1.58” = 0.36”
